Default Who says Ice Fishing doesn't pay.

So I went to the Chestemere ice fishing Tournament this past Saturday.
My guess is a good 50-60 people entered.
Not one person caught a Pike of legal size to register a fish.
I caught none and my dad caught 2 smaller Pike.
We heard there were a few fish caught that were within 3cm of being legal.
So all the prizes were drawn for.
First draw was for a Jiffy Auger and there were four cash prizes of $85. Then a bunch of mugs and hats.
I didn't get drawn for the auger but wouldn't you know it I was the second winner of $85 cash!!!
Not bad for not catching a fish.

I guess next year they will register every fish caught seing how it is catch and release anyway.

Hey congrats to yah, but i think what they really need to do with that lake is make all pike catch and release all year round for a few years to bring the sizes back up cause the quality there has really dropped.
