My father and i were in the Pincher Creek area hunting bull elk and white tail on the second last weekend of the season, we got there on the Tuesday night, woke up and went out one other guy who seen no elk just like us, was out but that was it. So as friday came around we were just one of 10 or more truck in area looking for the same thing, the elk finally came in the area from the park area, and it was not hunting once they did people had no respect for each other we heard many people say they had there trucks shot over, seen many elk gut shot or shot in a leg and just left to suffer, and going on land they know they weren't aloud on. People like is why no one want to let hunters on and its just sick to hear about.

Maybe look for a different hunting area ? Sounds like the opener in the pourcupine hills. These people are not hunters. They just need a photo with dead animal so they can post it on the Internet. They don't care what it takes to accomplish their goal. Trespass ,poach ,shoot kill em all.

We have been looking more into the the suffield elk hunting since my sister is looking to get into hunting. Just hard not to go there when we have made good friends and there is not a white tail buck in my area that i would feel okay with even putting my cross hairs on.

thats a result of the poor elk numbers and yes the less of something the more the show if only we could get some help on the numbers from the usa where the RMEF is based.
