You must have a filter that kicks in when the blood level goes above .08, I can't figure out any other explanation???

Good thing I don't drink, I wonder what some of the posts would look like if I did?

I've been warned once and on second though realized it was justified.
As far as replacing Cat...unless you are prepared and volunteering to become a mod...I'd say MYOB.

Now that I don't punch a clock anymore, I get up, make a coffee, check the weather network, check my e-mail and then go to the AO forum. It is the first and only forum that I belong to ( the only one worth my time) I appreciate how it is run and the information I have gotten from here on anything from guns to smoking meat to links to news from around the world . Thanks Mods for keeping it a great site and important part of my day.

Not my circus, not my monkeys.

As surprising as it may seem to most members here even I've had a couple of infractions.

Agree.

I wish some threads would be left open to discuss but some topics are taboo. I may not like it but i get that because it's not mine to make the rules. I want to play so i stay and follow the rules. Suspensions are easier to figure out as you probably seen the thread spiral out of control. Banning can be a number of reasons we never see.

Keep up the good work Mods . I wouldn't want your job. No win situation.

Default Give it a rest

IMO, I wish Cat had never become a mod because now we don't get as much of his interaction as in times past, because many people will be quick to jump on him as being "too involved", "too quick" or blame him for whatever else is giving them puss-filled white zits on their arse.

Their is a clearly defined set of rules. Read them. Follow them if you want to stay on. Break them if you don't.

Stay off Cat's back cuz he doesn't deserve crap. In fact, stay off all the mods' backs, cuz the t-shirts and caps they get for their gig certainly ain't enough to swallow the feces they get thrown their way.

Just trying to keep up with the banned returnee / multiple username crowd would be enough to make me lose the rest of my hair.

Thanks Cat, Pixel, and all the rest of you mods for your thankless work. No place is perfect, but this place is darned good.

If we were all the same life would be boring.
We all get in heated debates and it's up to us as users to cool our own jets or face the consequences of our actions. The modorators use judgment calls and their judgment and the forum rules are all the tools they have to work with. If it was a free for all we would have a lot more butt hurt people and people not contributing. Some people like to stir the pot or be controversial just to get a rise, better known as trol. I can't say I haven't done it and been called on it and learned from it.
The mods do what they signed up for just fine.
Play nice ya'll.

If I want to bait a member of a certain political viewpoint I would rather do it in person so I can watch them turn color and see the blood pressure rise and sometimes they stammer and stutter like an outboard that just won't start. You just can't experience that online.

As to being suspended or banned, it's not necessarily what you say, how you say it, and who you say it to, are even more important.

I'm still not accepting Oki's suntan lotion application offer, no matter HOW it is presented!

Life seems to be more about "Political Correctness" . Look at Social media in general these days . Everybody is trying to get rid of the "bullies" on the block . AO is no different . There has been more than one Forum where I said "oh , oh " only to see it carry on for a while longer. The mods do a pretty fair job at keeping the shenanigans down to a dull roar . However on these cold winter nights we need some entertainment

Don't like how this place is managed, look over there... it's the door.
Nailed it. Mods do a pretty darn good job.

Sure you can censor and ban a bunch of posters but then don't be surprised that no one posts anything interesting let alone posts pictures or tips.
If you want a vanilla forum, you got it.

I did also say who! So if an attractive lady made the same offer, would that change things?

Arrow It's that time of year !

.

I've seen it ^ happen every year at this time, since I've been here. It's one of the constants on the AOF.
The only difference is ... some get it worse than others.

Fear not, spring is just around the corner!

The whole General Discussion forum could be deleted and and it would make very little if any difference on this the number of members who cruise here or the numbers of members while log in

Sure has changed since the early days eh lol Not much for pics on here or stories like there once was.
We need mods though. Some things get out of hand.
These days though it seems things get shut down fast. I was glad to see Cat reopened the outfitter thread. Other than one guy on there it seemed to have gone pretty well.

I was just going to post this. Every year, Feb and March seem to have the most locked threads and suspended/banned members.
