Default Birch lake near Caroline

I am heading up to try ice fishing for trout on Birch this weekend.
I have fly fished it before but I am looking for some info through the ice. I know about the aerator in the middle.
Do the trout prefer a 20ft depth through the ice?
I don't normally bait fish. Worms, corn or flies tipped with maggots? Jigging?

I have only fished it earlier in the winter (December) but the rainbows and brookies were in 6-8 FOW at the time. I used cooked shrimp as bait, which seemed to work well.

Was up there just after New Years, the Rainbow I caught had snails and small fish in it's stomach. Somebody else on here recently found the same thing
