When I was 15, 35 years ago
, my buddy and I went looking for a pheasant release by Vegreville. We never found it. We did however find a farmer who had scads of pigeons flying around. We asked him if we could shoot em. We had fun and got about a dozen. They were full of grain from his silos. My granny cooked em up and they were delicious. Darker meat and flavorful. Would shoot em and eat em again anytime.
