Default Anyone keep these in the truck for ice fishing?

https://zipgripgo.com/storelist/ I was thinking that these may save a guy getting stuck on the ice. Anyone ever try them or have them?

Years ago when I just had a car, I would keep pieces of metal lathe or expanded metal for the winter.

Neat idea.

Being single-use, over the years I would expect to find these things discarded throughout the forestry (yeah, I'm a pessimist, I know!) Won't work for me as we have steel wheels on our truck.

I bought a set of these for the truck - have yet to use them. At least they are reusable!

seem a little flimsy and not much bite to them, plus only single use. I went with the trac grabber. One of those on each tire of a 4 wheel drive truck should get through most anything. If it doesn't you would need to be winched out I imagine.

Am I reading this right? 25 bux a pack and they recommend 4-5 packs per wheel. single time use.

Might as well use real chains like the men with beards do.

Yeah, you are reading it wrong:

Depending on conditions you may only need a couple on each drive wheel, but we have found that 5 on each tires is optimal if you are stuck.
^^ One package contains 10...

Have tire chains in the trunk of my small car. Haven't needed them yet with studded snow tires.
