Im not pumping the tires on this cartridge, haha, just throwing it out there. Never considered a 22-284...

It looks good actually I am building a 22-243 that I haven't purchased a reamer for yet... I might look closer.
A couple guys here have done 22-284s. I must say that their results have been exceptionally intriguing

I think if one is stocked up on creedmore brass this high performance 22 could make sense. Sounds like barrel life is very limited, but that is to be expected.

Got a semi custom 22-284 that drives the 80 gr Berger at 3550-3600 fps. Been trying to sell it actually. Just never shoot it. Very accurate with low recoil.

Its damn near the same cartridge as a 22-250 AI. Alpha munitions is making brass for it. I have a 224 TTH (22-6mmrem) reamer that I have yet to run but aparently 75vmax will damn near cut a coyote in half out of it.

A .22cal barrel that's only gonna last 1000 rounds doesn't appeal to me.
A fifth of that will probably be used-up during load development.
So you actually only get to enjoy it's full potential for ~800 rounds... Bummer.
The more accurate the rifle is, the more you want to shoot it. So the round-count goes by quick.
