Default Rifle season tags

Can we buy our tags for rifle season yet? Tried looking it up but couldn't find anything . Also, when you buy a general WT tag do you have to pick either antlered or antlerless or can you get a tag that covers both, depending on what I may stumble upon when I'm out in the field?

Yes....although there is no such thing as a 'Rifle Season Tag' you can buy any General tag, Special License, etc.....

And the General WT tag can be used for either Antlered or Antlerless, but that is all zone specific. Also the Supplemental WT tag is an option in some zones.

As has been posted, there is no rifle season, the link below takes you to the seasons, and shows you what, and when is legal with a general tag in each wmu. Pick the correct area from the drop down menu, and it's quite straight forward.

Thanks for the link. I didn't have any problems finding what's open and when. I may have worded my question wrong but I was more just wondering if you could buy tags for rifle season yet. That's what I couldn't find. I thought you could buy your archery tags for archery season and then rifle season tags later. Learn something new everyday.

And you are still using the wrong wording, since as has already been posted, there is no rifle season in Alberta.

Picky picky. I'll work on my terminology after I go buy by rifle season tags.

Ask for some bullets as well, but don't get upset if the clerk brings you bullets, when you really wanted cartridges.
I have actually seen that happen in a store, and it was quite entertaining to watch the results.

The lady at the Shell station just looked at me weird when I asked for the bullets too, along with my tags.

I usually buy all my tags in august when you can start to purchase...all seasons...that way only 1 trip to the vendor for the tags.
