Pal renewal wait times

I am gob smacked.
Noticed my pal expires July 2021
Last time it took 7 months to get my renewal card so I figured I'd be smart and apply now. Applied Dec 2...new pal showed up in my mail today....what's going on?? Lol

Government workers working from home? Realizing if they get their work done, they can do other things instead of pounding the pooch all day at the office??

Are not processing any for 4 months.I believe this is for new PAL's not renewals?

Took me about 3-4 weeks to get my renewal.
I was pleasantly surprised.

Just did mine in late October online got it back in days, easy.
