Thank you Stettler
Was out there this weekend for the pheasant hunt. Was a great time in a great town full of friendly folks . Banquet was fantastic, and a special thank you to Densa44 and Sienna for their help—couldnt have done it without them! We will most certainly be back next year.
As for the guys that called this a canned hunt and so easy as they are farmed birds, this sure as hell was not the case. They hide like you wouldn’t believe, couldn’t imagine doing it without a dog.

I have to agree this year was outstanding. This was our 4th year and after last year we were a little skeptical but Stacy assured me the birds would be top notch and she was right.. All big strong and some a little to fast. Dad doesn't get out much any more but this was truly a great time. Only watching his dog now gets a smile like this from our sharpshooting 75 year old...
Thank you Stacy and everyone it was by far the best one yet. We will be back.

Glad to hear that densa44 volunteered himself and Sienna to accompany you. I have shot many birds over Sienna, and she is a great dog to hunt over.

I doubt if you could have hit a better handler and dog to help you out - maybecas good, but better? I doubt it!
Densa44 is a great person and his Sienna is top shelf for sure!
Glad you had a fantastic hunt!
What did you end up choosing for Ammo?

Hunting over Sienna, you probably had to wait a few seconds before shooting, , to not blow the birds apart.

If I was going to get a pup from densa44, it would have been from Sienna. Her and her brother Hunter, are the best Pudelpointers that I have shot birds over, and I have shot over quite a few. I am looking forward to heading down to join densa44 and his dogs for a hunt, in another week or two.

The Strathmore barn is just a holding facility for all the ACA release sites. All the birds are coming out of Wisconsin, being held there for a couple days to a week then out to the field

Agree with the post, we were down there on the 12th and had a fantastic time. Prior to booking this years hunt Stacey assured us that the birds were not going to be a repeat of 2017! Looking forward to next year.

I avoided the Stettler event because of the previous birds, and the very sparse cover this year, but after hearing how well the event went, I am thinking that I may attend in 2019.
