Default What are you watching?

Figured why not have a thread about what you are watching on Netflix, Prime, etc. What do you recommend for others to watch?

Can’t say I am a big fan of the sport, but a while back I watched Senna on Netflix and today I finished watching Schumacher (I watched it in two seatings because I only get a chance to “watch tv” late at night, so sometimes even a 1.5-2-hour long film is too long to handle at once). I can say I enjoyed both of them quite a bit - I mean I created this thread, lol. Seriously though, good watch.

Another pretty good watch is Tough Guy: The Probert Story that I saw on Prime a while back.

What are you watching?

I enjoyed "Count me in", a documentary about drummers, I thought it was interesting.

Just watched the Netflix doc on the now defunct Danbury Trashers of the UHL. Mobster buys his 17 year old son the team to run. Notable players on the roster included Brent Gretzky, Mike Rupp, and Jon Mirasty…

Finishing up Homeland at the moment

Pretty sure it’s over. Season 11 aired late 2020. I’ve already watched it.

Well. Now you got me thinking. I was sure I’d seen the end, but maybe I didn’t! I’m gonna have to check now! Hope there’s a season I’ve yet to see.

Started watching Mare of Easttown last night, episode 1 looked pretty good.

Into the 3rd season of Longmire, I like it so far.

For the razzies

Watched the movie Hunter Hunter last night,
A family living off the land in the wild until they are terrorized by a rogue wolf or so they thought..... turns into a gore fest in the end, wife left the room LOL

Walked into that one blind, was good until everything went sideways

Longmire is an excellent show, except the final season I thought was a slight letdown..but overall very well made.

Yellowstoneis excellent, but everyone here knows that..

Shameless I liked for 8ish seasons and then just burnt out of the characters idiocy.

The Boys is great but helps if your humor is a bit warped

Watching Goliath with Billy Bob Thornton on Prime..didnt want to try it as i hate lawyer shows...ran out of things to try so I gave it a spin and it is excellent. On season 3 of 4 and am still surprised how much I like it. BB is perfect as a drunk washed up but talented lawyer.

Notable mentions of shows I really enjoyed:

Justified longmireish but more serious
Bosch (no, not the spark plug company) great cop show
The Shield (older but one of the best dirty cop shows)
The Blacklist hunt the really bad guys down and usually ends up with the death of really bad guy..which is kinda refreshing. Hardly recognized James Spader as he lost his hair and discovered donuts...
Queen of the South not a bad take on being a drug kingpin, but this time the future is female.
Narcos good show, imo first season is best, others good but slide a bit.. the detail they put into recreating certain details and true locations of true events are quite surprising.

Agree with most listed in the previous post. My wife and I love the British crime shows. The writing is way more intelligent than most NA stuff.

Try: Happy Valley, Shetland, Line of Duty, The Fall to start. Once you are hooked there are many others that are excellent. It's a bit weird having to run subtitles on English speaking shows but they are definitely needed.

I love British cop shows too. Seen all ^^^^^^. Line of Duty was excellent. Last season is only on BritBox which I will not get a separate subscription for...

The Witcher is really good. It's the only series that I have watched 3 times. Very few get a second watch through. Just have to realize that in the first 6 episodes, the showrunner is showing events from 3 different timelines, and each show has a theme from those 3 timelines. All the timelines come together in episode 6.

I'll probably watch the show again around the time the new season comes out.

Absolutely, a movie that presents the UN in a real word perspective and it ain't flattering.

Hostiles with Christian Bale just came back onto Netflix. I think that'd be appealing to this crowd. I loved it.

From IMDB:
In 1892 after nearly two decades of fighting the Cheyenne, the Apache, and the Comanche natives, the United States Cavalry Captain and war hero Joseph Blocker is ordered to escort the ailing Cheyenne chief, Yellow Hawk--his most despised enemy--to his ancestral home in Montana's Valley of the Bears.

Drive to Survive F1 - Netflix. It’s awesome if you have ever wondered what F1 is also about.

Ozarks - Netflix

Coco - The Grant Fuhr story - Prime

The Handmaids Tale - Crave

It’s been a while since I have been able to sit down and take in a series, when I have more time I usually just subscribe to one of the streaming services for the month.

Im about to watch season 4 of Goliath. I too was surprised how much I liked that show.
I’ll also second The Shield. It is older, but I think it’s one of the best cop shows I’ve ever watched.

I'm watching Dexter New Blood. I watched all previous seasons. It was like a nostalgia to watch this new one.

Just watched the Alpinist last week. To say that guy had zero fear would be an understatement. Pretty incredible feats there.

Just enjoy it! I liked the mystery, the cast, and the head-busting action.
