Anybody know what's going on with the Alberta Fly-fishing forum>

Saw the subject AFFF and I had a flashback to my old Navy days. Advanced Fire Fighting Foam! I wasn't sure how it was going to relate to fly-fishing!

The Alberta Fly Fishing Forum became less and less active. It used to be interesting. Now it's not there at all.

If memory serves me, after the Fly Fish Alberta (FFA) forum closed, everyone dispersed and it seemed the guys in the south predominantly went to Fly-Fish Calgary (FFC).

Up north there was Northern Lights Fly-Tyers (NLFT) and Alberta Outdoorsmen (AO) forums and I think at that time there was still the Fishin Alberta Message Board (FAMB) around. Western Fly Fishing had a forum as well as the Fly-angler forum. Alberta Fly-Fishing Forum (AFFF) sprang up in the vacuum caused by FFA shutting down.

So there was plenty of forums around and I think the action was spread a bit thin in most of them. Some of them have since disappeared. During the winter months AFFF was virtually non-existant (as one might expect). There were only a couple of posts every week.

With the addition of the Fly-Fishing section of AO, I don't know if there is a need for AFFF to return. But if Doc thinks it's worth his time and effort and/or money to keep it afloat, then giv'er
