This reminds me of a saying I read not to long ago. Best way to kill good fishing at a lake, advertise it.

I wouldnt be eating anything out of yellow.

All the crops slope into that lake and every time it rains all the fertilizers and chemicals on the crops wash into there.

Also if people think they are going to go out there and just hammer monster perch all day they are going to be very disappointed.

It is a big shallow slough with little to no structure. You will mostly catch little tiny pike all day and if you are lucky you may wind up with a white fish or perch.

Personally if i was someone planning to drive a long distance for perch i wouldnt even bother with southern alberta anymore.

Yes there is a few decent ones caught every year down here but tye guys catch them are putting in a ton of work and going through tons of little stunted perch most of the time.

X2 I wouldn't eat a fish out of there unless I was starving. Yuk. Was quit the place forty years ago though. Most of southern Ab. had it's hay day about forty years ago. Now the Res. at the end of the irrigation lines are disgusting Cesspools.

Nice job on the catch it definately doesn't come easy and it's a nice reward if you've gone home without ever seeing one good perch for multiple trips. It keeps us fishin I wish I could say that was my catch
