Default Camrose area Ice fishing

Hey Everyone,

Sorry for making another where to fish thread but I had trouble finding good ideas from older threads.

I am going up to Camrose this weekend to ice fish for a buddys 30th birthday, hoping to get into some fish. Went to battle last year only got one little pike on the ice, tried Gull the year before but I must have picked a terrible area as we got skunked.

Anyway just looking for a lake or tips on where to go in the region where we can frequent fish not species picky.

Thanks in advance.

I would check out buffalo lake. (About 40 min south of Camrose) the bite seems to be steady with both pike and burbot

Hay lakes has a trout pond, Camrose fish and game has a trout pond, east of Camrose, 4 or 6 miles, south of hwy 13, you can see it from the hwy, look for the cook shack, coal lake west of Camrose, just about touches hwy 13 at Gwynn valley but take the gravel roads north to the north end of Coal
