Best lure's for Trout

What are the best lures to catch trout?

Small len thompson spoons, spinners most any kind will work but lately we've been having realy good luck with a firetiger meps aglia long, flys either dry or wet fished behind a casting bubble or under a slip bobber or with just splitshot or a nail rig. Small plugs like rapalas and flat fish work good.

If bait is allowed it will often outfish lures I like worms the best but power bait works well also. A good bait you dont see people using much is grasshoppers, hook them though the coller with a small light hook and use a bobber to cast them out. The key is not to kill them or sink them, let them kick around on top of the water.

I yanked a nice brown from the Bow on the weekend using a pink Buzz Bomb.

my big Fave is a kamlooper spoon fairly small size
never seen a football turn down a well tied wooly bugger tho

Trout eat a lot of aquatic insects, and I've found that fly fishing is the most consistant way to catch trout.

william's wabblers are great for trout in lakes; never tried them in flowing water though - rapalas and and gold or silver spinners there.

I've had success with the smaller lead minnows available at Canadian Tire on the Bow with Browns. Bent them into an S. Gets down into the Water. Be prepared to lose a few.

In terms of responses, sometimes its about not repeating someone else's decent reply. The first 2-3 replies covered a lot of it, didn't it? Besides, lots of views/few responses is typical for almost every topic...

Anyways, I'll throw in one; slow trolled green montana's on a full sinking, type IV (or faster) line, all the fly line out; troll in s-curves.
