Default provincial secrets

provost or coronation to drumheller has always proven to be good. if you where to ask a local for permission they will just laugh...cause they know better.
the locals just dont want to increase hunting pressure.

Directly west of Calgary and south of the Kananaskis has a few bears, need to cover lots of ground but theres some large ones in the area. I have friends who hunt the Castle area further south with good success.

I have hunted the Sundre area for bears in the past and have seen quite a few but no big boys also the trunk road is not bad.

Default Bear Hunting

BCPro,
I'm with Muddster. Got my bear in Waiparous in the fall of 2005. Haven't seen any monster like what you see in Vancouver Island or up by PG. Nonetheless, some good country west of Calgary to go after Black Bear. Give me a PM if you want to talk more.

The PM thing doesn't seem to be working for me. Send me a message I would like to find out where these areas are rather than just driving around lost.
