Molting!! You can literally see the difference day to day.

That's a good sign that the snow should be gone about the same time the rabbits and hares turn brown.

Not sure what happened to them but I haven't seen a jackrabbit for years !

In 2013 I had to spend 2 months in Edmonton taking some treatments and this jack was a resident of the backyard of the house I was staying in. They were always walking up and down the sidewalks....
