Default Question about license, moving here from SK

I'll be moving to alberta in late july and was wondering if I'd have to do some kind of hunter education course again like i did in SK.
Have been hunting in SK for 2 years now, I know theres some different wildlife in alberta than here so I'm thinking i will have to.
Tried finding a phone number for some kind of authority on this issue but couldn't, if someone can link something useful it would be much appreciated.

The fact you've held a hunting license anywhere else is all you need.

Not sure on this but don't you have to be a resident for 6 month's before you can hunt here?

It's a free-for-all in Alberta when it comes to our resources, just go buy a license!

Pick up a copy of our regulations or read them online. Has all the AB details to get you through too.

This site will soon have the 2015 copy available but 2014 is there for you to read too

Default This, from the regs.

A first-time hunter is a hunter who 1) has not previously held a hunting
licence in Alberta or elsewhere, or 2) has not prior to April 1, 2010, met
Alberta first-time hunter criteria, or 3) has not successfully completed a
hunter education course in Alberta or elsewhere.

SO YOU ARE NOT THE ABOVE.

BUT YOU ARE NOT THE BELOW (YET) EITHER:

Resident – a person who either
l has his or her only or primary residence in
Alberta and
1) is a Canadian citizen or is admitted to
permanent residence in Canada, or
2 ) has lived in Canada for the 12-month
period immediately preceding the relevant
date; or
l is on full-time service with the Armed
Forces of Canada and would, if an election
were held under the Elections Act (Canada),
be eligible to vote in Alberta under that Act.

AND GET YOUR W.I.N.:

Hunters and anglers in Alberta must possess a 10-digit Wildlife
Identification Number (WIN) before applying for or purchasing any licence
or wildlife certificate.

If you are purchasing a WIN for the first time, you can purchase one online
at albertarelm.com or at a licence issuer. The licence issuer gives you a paper
receipt (which includes your new number) allowing you to purchase licences
immediately. Your card will be mailed to you within a few weeks.
If you have any questions about the WIN or the licensing system, please
contact the RELM Call Centre, toll-free in North America, at
1-888-944-5494.

It would be a good thing if that were true. Unfortunately, it isn't true.

6 second rule here. Or for many the "I work here so I'm entitled" rule. Shameful.
