I recall getting scoffed at by quite a few flames fans, even yourself if I remember right. How did the playoffs work out? This year you get Lucic and all those same fans are giddy they now have some team toughness. Unfortunately it's 4th line toughness. I tried to be positive.....What do I know, only been watching the BOA since the '80's
I wouldn't say I "scoffed", I disagreed, and I still do. I don't think we need toughness, we need players who give a darn and show up to play. Having three Derek Engellands on the Flames isn't going to help us. If you were to take the glasses off for just a moment, I honestly don't believe you'd say we lost that series because Colorado out hit us and beat us up in the puck battles in the corners. There were no puck battles, because we were always 3 strides behind cause we didn't show up.

Hopefully more entertaining that the Oiler-Wild game. I don't think I've ever heard anyone say "Watching Minnesota tonight, looking forward to it, should be fun, fast paced game!".

3-1 Flames less than 4 minutes in....4 goals on 7 shots combined. Woah....this could just blow up, either way. Run and gun with Bruins?? Errr....well, good start boys!

And Bruins get another. 3-2. Oh boy....I don't think this is the game they should be playing. Nope.

Let me guess, when the Flames do well it's overachieving, but let me guess you guys have a good season it's straight up skill and hard work??

LOL yeah that's what I thought..

Well that was quite the period, but I am thinking the Bruins are not the team we want to keep this shootout with.

As the Bruins demonstrated 50 seconds in to take lead. You can't run and gun a team like that, it's not a RedBull race! 4-3 Bruins

Win, loose or draw, I'm just posting a fact that popped up, I found interesting, but would be nice if they added a win on it.

They needed to settle it down when it was 3-1.

Oh well. Next.

I don't know, only lost by 1 to the best team in the league. Had our chances in the third, just couldn't get it in the net again. My only criticism is we had a 2 goal lead twice, and couldn't hold it.
Tkachuk did well and stepped up to go with a guy who was after a teammate.

Sums up the team talent and expectations of the two teams quite nicely, from an Oilers fan none the less:

Oilers lose to the Bruins by one.

Oilers play absolutely amazing, lose by one, Flames show up and put in a half effort, lose by one. Think it's pretty clear, except for the guys with glasses, which team is playing above expectations and which team is playing below.

I'd love to see what this team could do if they'd even play at 90% for the rest of the season.

Difference is we are missing our entire top line. A speedster. And one of the top shot blocking Dmen in the league and we lost by 1. . Your entire team was on the ice and you lost by one. If I remember correctly the oilers took 3 points off of Boston this year.

Now if only we could beat Detroit, L.A., Ottawa.... much like the Flames.

You could of just said half our team was gone and only allowed one goal in regulation and decided it in overtime.
