Good to see there is a chance I might get to catch a big one one day. Just have to be in the right place at the right time I guess. How long did it take to bring it up?

Almost as big as that one from Turtle Lake.

(ducking and running... for those of you who don't know, I got punked on a huge pike that actually came from Holland)

Wow congrats! That thing has potential! AB record if it broke 38! And it's probable that we will be seeing u in the back of our regulations this year! If released you just need a witness

Not sure, I have no desire to be in the back of the regs or anything like that. I already have one for a mount so it went back, wish I would have waited! I see no point in killing a pike like that to eat! Walleye are more tastey anyway! No girth measurement, but it was 10" deep and filled the hole pretty good. Just wasnt in the right situation to be weighing and fooling around toO much as it was windy and nasty out. No wonder the walleye wernt biting lol!

Awesome hen man she is gorgeous! Not sure about chances at pike pic in regs, might have that one sealed up? Nephew caught a super hog on one of our big fish spots last year. Will see how that hen stacks up I guess. She was one of about 6 crankers (20 plus pound caliber fish) we iced there over afew prime time feed periods. Too bad you couldnt tape her, Schwanky almost said goodbye to his C&R record AGAIN. Man one of these fish is gonna get taped and bust ya TJ!

Pack, And how big was his fish. If I catch another one like that, what would be the proper procedures for entering into a c&r record book? I would imagine length and girth. I know for a fact that the AB record has been shattered for walleye, and probably pike as well.

You should have length, girth and weight if possible. Also need a witness who will sign a statement verifying they were there and witnessed the catch and the measurements.

You could win $300 plus a trip with Mikisew Sport Fishing, I'd totally enter the Alberta Angler of the Year contest!

Default Pike of a lifetime

Johnny!!!!!!!!!!!!
It is all down hill from here. My God she is a beauty. Only small pike from now on for you my friend.
I saw that weather on Saturday morning and did not want to go out.
That is why you get big fish and big deer. You go out no matter what.
Good for you.

Burbot fishing at PCR at night soon. They are getting bigger.
