Default Pulled the trigger on the boat, now the last two upgrades?

Well we put an order on this traker

http://www.trackerboats.com/boat/?boat=3413

There are two more upgrades I can get from the dealer

1. The i-pilot control module for the electric motor

2. Upgrade the sounder to the lowrance elite 5

I am thinking the i-pilot is a neat upgrade lots of what we do is drift and cast for pike, and lots of time we are picking spots because we can get good drifts based on wind direction, to be free of that sounds like fun. and the electronic anchor also sounds good.

The sounder is a little more iffy, now Dorey is a big lake and there are times you can't see the other side. And to be able to map wed beds and such would also be useful.

I have a hummingbird 345c that i'll be mounting on the trolling motor reguardless.

Which would you do the wife would allow both

The I-Pilot for the Minnkota is a must have!! it has tons of cool features. Just youtube it and see for yourself. I got Rainbow Marine to throw it in for me on my new Lund. It was a deal breaker, so hit your dealer up on that!!

I have the i-pilot and it is the difference in fishing a lot and steering very little, or fishing a little and steering the boat constantly. Especially in a wind. You can track routes and re-track back and forth with no steering at all. Also the "cruise control mode" allowes a very steady speed! and the gps direction tracking keeps you ontrack to your setpoint,it is by far the best investment (outside the boat) I ever made for fishing.

Get a bigger deepcycle battery while you're at it.

Upgrade to a 115 hp opti. the 90 hp will be barely enough for that size of boat. If you don't you will be dissapointed in the performance.

- upgrade the 12v 55lb to 24v
-tell them to keep the fishfinder /trade for an extra seat
-does it come with a spare tire? If not, get them to throw one in
- upgrade to max hp
-stick with Humminbird....

Yes I put the 115 on, that was pretty much an assumption. I am probably not going to upgrade the sonar since I have the hummingbird and I will mount that upfront in the captain's spot. But it is still on the list since keeping track of reefs or more like keeping track of safe passage has it's place.
