I heard a lot of prairie is frozen in places but I'm sure you can find open water still.

OK a couple of hours and NOTHING! Tried a dry behind a hopper and a dry by itself. Lots of shallow fast water.
Any suggestions? Today I went up stream-tomorrow downstream.
Reward offered for succesfull tips and ideas-LOL

I'm guessing there's not much surface activity is there? If not, I'd be fishing a nymph. It's kind of late in the season for hoppers.

Fly fishign is the key there, is it? I tried the Prarie Creek with spinners a while back and didn't even see a fish.
