My wife's grandpas old rod. It's an old Eagle Claw. Looks to me like it says 8 oz, or maybe 3, but that doesn't make sense. Can anyone tell what weight it is?
Of course, the easiest way to check out the weight is to put a fly line on it and see. Huge difference in casting an 8 wt as opposed to a 3 wt. An experienced fly caster could also tell the difference in handeling.
