Default What would you do???

Well, do I hunt moose around wabamun with the bow tomorrow, or head out to Lodgepole with the rifle in hopes of finding an elk or mule deer???

Well, what a waste of the day Lodgepole was! Had one deer snort at last light, saw one other flagging in the middle of the day. And then saw a doe and 2 fawns after dark! We saw 2 grouse, and a bunch of squirrels! Very uneventful day! Won't be wasting any more gas to go out there again any time soon! Gonna be bow hunting till November now! Upside is, my rifle is bang on now! 1" high at 100 yards! Fine tuned it yesterday!

There has to be some animals out there, heard lots of gun shots at dusk! But rather than drive roads we hunkered down on a lease that had tons of trails and tracks, but the one deer that came in decided to come in off of the road, which is exactly where the truck was parked! Wind was in the opposite direction from the deer, so it definitely didn't smell us! I'm guessing it saw the truck and went on full alert after that! It hung around for about 10 minutes snorting it's head off! That was the end of our day! And more than likely the end of my Lodgepole area hunting! Unless I take the kids out chicken hunting!
