Default Lower Middle Bow April 26

Partly cloudy, 17-18*,wind 20-50kph

Water temp at Mac-44.5*, 9AM. Ice at shore, 30' to cross.
Water temp at Jensen's-47.8*, 8PM. Ice at launch is 6-8' tall, drag and grunt to the parking lot!
(Temps are usually 4* different for distance downstream and elapsed daytime.)

Landed a mate to MPB, 19" and change, nice fish. 4 fish to net, about 20 solid takes and then fish-off (2 people fishing). White BR bugger, rust colored stone nymph, san juan and black egg-sucking leech were working, not so much on bead head prince, hare's ear, black prince and copper john patterns. All RBT's.

Fish seem to be in the usual summer places but not much action on the banks, mostly along current seams and soft water.

Lots of birds, the bald eagles are nested just below Bow North again. No pelicans yet.

A gorgeous day for a first float of the year.
