Default 1954 Blackwidow bow History/value???

Hello everyone, I am a long time compound bow hunter but have limited knowledge on traditional archery equipment. I was wondering if anyone could help me determine some information on this Blackwidow bow that I have inherited. I am looking for the value to determine whether or not it should be insured. I have been told a variety of numbers but they are all from people who im sure are trying to get it for a good deal. I have talked to Black widows factory and gave them the serial number, they claim it left the factory in august 1954. Any help on the value of this bow and any history it may have would be much appreciated! FYI, Im not sure I want to get rid of it but I would like as much information on it as possible. Thanks for your help!!!

this will tell you some history about the wilson brothers and how Bob started the bussiness in the early 50's and how they start factory manufacturing commercial at the time, as for the price of the bow it's only worth what some ones willing to pay, Ifyou would like a market value price i can contact a gentleman that is a collector of Blackwidow bows and find out for you will take a couple of days though. It's tobad its only 31 lbs a nice ladies bow or kids. Fourpoint

Nice bow for sure, you can see that it influenced the Drake-designed brownings of the day from the tips!
I would think it is on a par with the Grayling manufactured Bear Super Kodiaks, and $250-$350.
I know i would pay that for it.....
