Default 1st night on a new property

Went out sunday night and sat in a stand. new property, and stand was up for only 30 mins. After sitting for about 30 mins this little doe walked out. Thanks to "the butcher bus" she was hung and in the cooler in under 2 hours.
Nice to have a place willing to except game at 8pm on a sunday night.

9 yard shot, ran 40 yards the right way. I so like when they do that.

Default 1st night on the property

Congratulations on the flat-topper !!! Never met one that didn't taste good in a sausage casing.

I finally got my draw for a bull moose in the Crossfeild area after 9 long years....I think I am going to frame the letter for the draw! I am going to love every minute of bow hunting for that bullwinkle. Good luck the rest of the season.

Congrats again Rich. I hope it is the first of many this year for you!

Cat, there are moose in the Crossfield area. You just have to know where to look!

Yup there can be in the right honey holes, but the 7-8 year draw sucks.

Is the butchers bus still hacking meat, wrapping "meat chunks" and calling it cuts?? Used to have great service from them but 2 years ago it was all down hill. Didn't even use them last year.......

Anyways congrats on a new spot and deer!

Very disapointed in BB 2 years ago and now wont ever go back. Phoned one night and was told by his wife/girlfriend " what did I think calling at 9pm on a saturday. told her to look at her add it said 24 recieving. When I did get my sausage back full of bone chips and very salty. year before that dropped my deer off in oct and got it back in March.

Sorry to hijack thread... nice doe to start off the year.

Default Sausage?

Don't waste it all on sausage. There will be some excellent steaks in there.
