Stating the obvious but .... Don't forget to put in a easy to use shut off in front of quick connect !!!! (place it somewhere that you can access easily on turn off if you are gone for the weekend or away or need to change something out).

The last place I bought did not have one, and I'm certain that was causing micro leaks. I couldn't believe it ..... but sometimes people cut corners.

The other place I had the shut off under the deck which was not easily accessible, therefore, never used. Might have been against code too.

So, it's a good idea to spend a few bucks to get it done right, with the shut offs placed conveniently, etc..

I did my own, and went to Amre (IIRC) and got all the stuff - was pretty straight forward. Leak tested, etc... not too difficult.

If it is a new BBQ, check the box. Mine came with the quick connect coupler. I was rather surprised by that.

Also check the size.
Some of the bigger units need a 1/2" quick connect instead of the standard 3/8"
