Are you joking? He should have got more than one game. That slash was a deliberate intent to injure.

Exactly, joke...whoever the decision makers are need to put their wrists out and have only one good slash...then rethink the decision.

Didn't see nobody whine about suspensions when Kane deliberately did the cross check at the end of the period the game before. Tell me that wasn't an intent to injure!

While I agree Kane went after him when he shouldn't have, I looked at that cross check as a hit to the shoulder that got deflected up into his neck/head. Does not excuse Kane for a dirty move at the end of the game but thats how I seen the cross check play out.

Exactly, both teams are playing dirty, gritty hockey like it or not.

I agree with the "bolded" part.

Some around here should maybe watch "playoff hockey" back in the 70s, 80s, 90s, and some of the 2000s.

And if you don't like the intensity playoff hockey offers, well don't watch it...

Well, bye bye Toronto. Bobrovsky gave a monster effort. Leafs’s goalie was pretty good too. Great game.

So nice to see Toronto out of the mix.

The puppet master Bettman "pulling the strings"?

If anyone thinks American and Canadian teams are on equal footing come playoff time, well, your clearly just not paying close enough attention.

Canadian teams get the shaft. In more than a few ways.

^ It’s funny, I’ll give it that. Toronto is out because they played like crap in every game I watched, except the last game and one game against Tampa. I missed a couple though.

More than half of the teams remaining are playing without strong and consistent goaltending. That includes Oilers. You can't win the cup without goaltending. I agree with Trochu on that and have mentioned it a few times previously in this and the other threads. It’s cool to see a good high scoring game once in a while, but it is better watching a nice and tight game, with solid goaltending, and where way more than half of the game is played even strength, without anyone in the penalty box. We will see what happens.

And just like that tv ratings have will screech to a grinding halt, I’m not sure if you could find 4 markets (other than phoenix maybe) that people could care less about.

All Vegas had to do was stay out of the box, at 5 vs 5, Edmonton didn't have much of a chance.

Only two guys, Robertson and Chucky, who finished in the top 30 for points in the regular season remains in the hunt

Isn't that a stat. As the old saying goes offence wins you games but defense wins you championships.

Sounds like Teravainen is nearing return. That's gotta help Carolina's chances.

Seattle looks a little tired and slow. Too many break aways for the Stars, one eventually ending up in the goal. Not cheering for either team, really. Thinking it’ll be Vegas - Carolina final with Canes winning the cup. Can’t say I care which one it is too, haha. Florida could be it as well if Bob keeps playing his game, but I don’t think they’ll be able to go through the Canes.

Good effort the last minute or so and a goal with 17 seconds remaining but not enough. Made me think for a second they’d score again, lol. Kraken is gone.

Dallas is very solid. Should be a beauty between them and Vegas. I would think the east should be just as interesting.

Stopped following after the goal in OT (talking about Florida-Carolina game) and I was only checking the score and stats once in a while, not watching the game. Quite randomly just now saw an article named something along the lines of “Tkachuk scores in the 4th OT”. Wtf? Checked again and damn, must have been quite a game. Andersen went from quite a bit below .900 to .950 on 60 shots on goal; Bobrovsky with 63 saves on 65 shots for .969 svp. Sounds like hockey! The goal after which I stopped following was disallowed and 3 OT’s to follow. Too bad I was busy travelling and not watching the game.

It was midnight, the 4th OT was almost over, and i messaged my son in Ireland about game. Told him i was going to bed, great game but i was tired...and just like that Tkachuk scored! So i actually watched the whole game, and it was 4 OT periods of darn good hockey.

Glad i stayed up for it. As for Lomberg's goal, i think it should have counted but alls well that ends well.
