Posted this in the trapping section, but haven't had any replies. Thought to post it here as well.
A friend showed me a White bear hide recently that he found for sale. It is a number of sewn pieces made into a rectangle that would lay on a floor, or the back of a couch. Around 6x3'. Not sure what this hair is and hoping for an opinion. Looks like Polar Bear, but the individual strands are not translucent like a Polar Bear - more solid color. Still a very soft hide. Anyone know what it may be?
The leather side reminds me of Chinese made pelts sewn from many small pieces of fur. They are amazing at making stuff from scraps.
Do you have a photo of the whole pelt hair side up?
