i just picked up a sako 85 7mm and was looking for a little inside information and opinion. I have not bin able to shoot it yet if anyone has one or tried one i would like to here opinions on the 85. mainly i was just looking to buy something as accurate as i could with in a respectable price range.
You purchased a very well made rifle.I have a Sako 85 in .223,and it easily puts five shots into 1/2" at 100 yards.I actually prefer Cooper,but they don't make magnums yet.
Bought a 85 Greywolf last fall in 300wsm. Shoots better than I can most days. very solid action, good trigger, fast lock time and I like the removable magazine.
I have a couple 85's, one in a 30-06 and the in a 25-06. Both are tack drivers. The only thing I changed up on them was the stock, I put a McMillan Edge stock on both of them.

Cant comment on the Sako m85 rifles (I personally dont care for the stock design) but I lOVE ALL MY SAKO m75 rifles-SS and Greywolf's.. All great shooters with factory and better with reloads.
