Unhappy look for a new gun

I am looking for a winchester 243 wssm I no they stop making them a year ago. I have found alot of them for sale in the USA but I am having trouble finding a way to get it shipped here with out costing twice what the gun is worth. Does anyone know where I can get one in canada or a website that I couldfind one on.

Get a hold of Clay at prophet river in Lloyd. He can import most any gun for you for a fee. Also put a wanted buy thread on Canadian gun nutz, something might turn up.

Contact Clay at Prophet River Firearms - $200 and he will bring it in for you from Stateside!

There are two rifles in 243wssm listed on the Canadiangunnutz Equipment Exchange right now, a Winchester, and a Browning. Join the site, apply for access to the equipment exchange, and you are good to go. Do not post ads in the forum or they will immediately be deleted by the mods.

I spoke to Jason at IRunguns, after looking at their website. Seemed like a very nice guy, I tend to think he is legit. I was enquiring about exporting my Colt King Cobra to the US, having the Colt Custom shop do some work, and then have them re-import it (Prophet River couldn't do this for me, they don't do the export bit). As it is, the cost was just too prohibitive for the value of the pistol, so I didn't go that route. However, I'm having Prophet River bring in a nice Colt Python for me, just working on the details tomorrow!

He is $200 for the first ($50 less than PRiver, but I've dealt with Clay before and he's always been good to me).

Default IRG is the best

I just placed my 3rd order with these guys, I have had such great results. Maybe because I remember what it was like to wait over a year for ordering a firearm. Since they are based in Alberta, and get the job done, I will continue to get guns from them, up next a .50 bmg....wife permitting.....

I have used Prophet River four times to import firearms . The quickest import was 6 days and 4 weeks is about average.

I just met with a rep from Irunguns a half an hour ago because they also do laser engraving. There is a thread on CGN where Irunguns posted photos of an example of the 125 lever action Henry .22's they built to be available to Edmonton Police members for the 125th anniversary of the force. I don't know the entire formality of that arrangement, maybe retirees too. Probably the Police Association rather than a formal thing by the EPS themselves, optics and all). Anyhow I'm having them engrave some knives for me, the two I got back look great so I look forward to seeing the few others I left with them today. I think they probably bought the laser machine to abide by the stupid UN gun marking legislation but they're actually doing something good with it pending that useless requirement coming into effect.
