I've used a cheap wet tile saw from Canadian tire to cut rocks 6 inch and smaller. Not sure what a mouse track rock is I cut petrified wood and other interesting rocks.

Default Saw

There are chop saws for carpentry, steel and concrete. Some of these saws have a clamp to hold the material. I think a concrete or masonry blade may work. Some concrete or masonry saws may have a water drip to keep the blade from overheating.
