Cold lunch
Anyone got a trick on how to keep your lunch ie" sandwich from getting close to freezing. I put mine in a cooler bag but still they are more like crystalized than a nice sandwich.
Must be something that can be heated up in the microwave that would keep the inside of the cooler bag warm?

How about those single use hand warmers, maybe wrap it in a tea towel then into your insulated bag?

Wrap it up in tin foil and throw it on your engine exhaust manifold.

Certainly better than the armpit suggestion...

When ice fishing, I put a bunch of room temperature water bottles in the bottom of a mid sized cooler, then I throw my sandwiches, etc. on top of the water bottles. By the time I go to eat lunch, the water bottles have cooled off a little, but the sandwiches haven't frozen yet

Bring perogies, a pot and a Coleman stove. No worries about freezing up then!

I bring vacuum pack lasagna, or beef stew, or turkey stew, then dropout in my jetboil 1.8 pot and heat it up then have hot water to make tea, works for me, or bring smokeys and heat it up on the grate with the big buddy heater
