Default Wipe-Out Accelerator: any experience?

Curious if anyone here has used the Accelerator for Wipe-Out? Product info suggests it cuts an several hour/overnight process down to an hour or so.

Yup, it works as advertised. But one thing I have learned with gun cleaning and wipeout in general is not to rush it. I cut down on product used and patches, by letting the bore soak over night, without the accelerator.

I have read that Wipeout Accelerator, if left in the barrel too long, can cause pitting. I have never used it myself. Be warned.

This is good to know. I'll just skip it then.

It didn't speed things up one bit for me. The bottle now collects dust on the back of the bench.
How much simpler can plane old Wipeout be? Put it in, go to bed, get up, run a couple patches, and your done.

If I need to address cleaning on the fly, I'll do like the BR guys do, bore guide, rod, brushes, patches, solvents and creams.

The liquid wipeout is even better than the foam. Two wet patches through, let it soak for the day while you're gone to work and a few dry patches when you get home and you're good to go. I also stayed away from the accelerator because of stories of pitting the barrel.

Hopps 9 too remove jacket fowling, and auto-Saul "if need" to make full smooth bore in full length. Very little since its abrasive,,, 1/2 of machine milling compound...

Old school trick.

I've been using accelerator followed right after with patch-out for years on all my rifles, blued and stainless. I find it does speed up the process somewhat and no, it will not cause pitting in your bore.
YMMV

Well, if the product were as good as promised - 800% simpler.

I use the accelerator with wipe out. I run 2 wet patches through then spray with wipeout and leave it for a couple hours.

I do use Accelerator at times, however I can't comment as to whether it speeds clean up or not, I'm still on the fence with it. However, I don't worry about pitting as I do drive many dry patches through after ANY cleaning product and follow it up with a patch of G96 inside all barrels, chrome moly or stainless.
