Mom always said when the street lights came on it was time to come home...

No there is no timings for when you can not be out fishing. some of the best fishing happens when the sun goes down.

Read the regs manual cover to cover.

There is province wide rule.

Check the regs to see if there is a rule for your region of interest.

Then check the specific rules for the lake or stretch of river you plan to fish.

I know some lakes/reservoirs can only be fished from sunrise to sunset.

Pine Coulee Reservoir is another during the open water season.

I believe McGregor is another, but I've never fished it before.

Wabamun " Oct. 1 to Nov. 30 – Open only between sunrise and sunset of each day"

Sturgeon Lake "Oct. 1 to Jan. 15 – Open only between sunrise and sunset of each day"

Spencer Lake also has day and time restrictions

Good to know, thank you. It has been a long time since I did any real fishing at all and I was unaware of this. I always thought you could fish 24/7.
thanks again
