Default creston area fishing - besides kootenay lake

will be there a few times this summer. Looking for some trout streams for walk and wade fly fishing, smaller lakes, etc. Do have a zodiac, will try Kootenay lake for some kokanee. Tips for kokanee?

Will be 20km north of Creston on the lake.

No downriggers so likely limited for the big boys in the summer?

thanks.

ive fished kooteny a few times (in-laws live in creston). not to belittle kokanee but you have a great oppurtunity to hook onto a monster rainbow. talk to the localls about spots and methods that you can try without downriggers or planer boards. good luck.
