Default Cool elk rack pic

Just thought I would share this pic from my good hunting buddy taken Nov/17 opener. Priority 5 tag was a while coming and we planned it out to a T.
One of the most humble guys on the planet, a true gem of a dude. He also took a great mule deer this season. Hats off amigo, you earned it!!!

Default Elk rack

IF HE DID BRING IT TO A "HORN SCORING THING"
It would score ZERO as it's antlers not horns LOL

Just a cool pic to share, score dont matter. Thanks for the tip on antlers too, had no clue ; )

I know he is happy, I am proud of him and some people enjoy looking at racks so figured I would share. I was gonna say horn porn but that would be wrong.

It is 370s gross, def no bigger, he is no giant man holding it.

Is it spring bear yet????

Beautiful bull, thanks for sharing. Congrates to the hunter. Bull of a life time for most.

Also a pretty cool mule deer. He shot em both but it was my favourite season ever. The pride he showed is what we do it for. Or at least should be.
Enjoy.

Heres an in the flesh pic. Muley we didnt get a good live one cuz he was down in the steepest sob of a hill. The kind that takes 50 feet an hour to climb. And phones in truck of course. Brutal spot.

Not wanting info on his honey hole, but was it a prairie elk, farm elk or foothill bull? It would be nice to see if we still have some large bulls in wilderness areas.

Curious how old that bull is, got a few old herd bull up here in the peace that know how to survive? They hole up on private land, they are not call-able, the cows go to them. They often do their public land wandering under the cover of darkness. I have them on camera for 3-4 years now, they don't seem to get much bigger from year to year.
