Default Fishing Regs

The Bow River is closed near Bowness right now but can I still catch and release fish there?

I do not believe so. You would have a hard time convincing a CO if he showed up you were practising C&R

Exactly what part of "closed" don't you understand?

Like if a store is "closed" you can't come in just to have a look around.

If a cafe is "closed" you can't come in just to look at the menu.

Am I being too sarcastic???
