Default Looking for Rocky's North or Wapiti Meats South

Read the awesome review of this Calgary processor would like to find one in the Edm, St Albert Spruce Grove area just as good.

When we are up north we use Wapiti meats out of Grovedale, south of GP. They are great at ALWAYS taking in meat when you get there, you don't need to phone ahead and no waiting 2 weeks to get in. They will turn it around in a couple of days from intake if you are in a hurry. If you want Jerky or Sausage just bring the meat back in Jan and he does excellent work.

Would love to find someone around Edmonton like Wapiti. Two of my regular hunting partners now live out of province and can't wait around two weeks for meat, nor is it easy to take uncut meat across provincial lines any more.

Looking to find a good wild meat processor who can turn animals around in short order.

I agree on South Wapiti, Terry and his son are good people, and have been nothing but excellent in their service and product. Place is always spotless clean too.

I did that for many years. At a certain point my time ids more valuable to me, it is why I don't paint my own fences or build my own garages any more. I am at the stage I am more than happy to pay someone if they do quality work. The trick is finding that high quality work man.

Do yourself a favor. Try Specialty Meats, 780-940-8303 Excellent sausage maker and butcher. Small family run shop and quick turnover. He usually has a ton of free samples available and you will be happy you went there.

BTW, we use South Wapiti to cut/wrap and bag trim for our September elk up north and they are good. But Speicalty meats has them beat. Extremely nice work.
