Default east pit report sept 1

just got back from east pit. started fishing at 3p.m. only 2 other vehicles in lot. fished southwest shore by the inlet. it was a beautifull day with occasional breeze on my back. some showers around 6:30 to 7:30. caught 7 and realeased 3. first time in years i used a bober that i found on shore. what fun. used snails for bait, then started casting with worms. both worked. a little disapointed at the small size of this years batch compared with hermitage, but what i was after was a 2 or 3 year old (or their great grandpa). maybe next time.

I was there on sunday september 4th it was really hot for awhile, started at around 3:30 and left at 8:30, There was llike 10 people fishing and i didn't see anyone catch a thing, One dude said he caught a small one. But the fish were jumping everywhere. I used pink shrimp, jiggs, spoons and i didnt even get a nibble, nice lake pond tho for offshore,I'm gonna head back next weekend any tips?

I have since been told that east pit suffered winterkill and could be why i haven't seen a big one come out of there.
