Ice has been off lakes in the south for quite awhile now in certain areas.

Not particularly early by our calendars, better than last year but pretty normal otherwise.

Would it be worth fishing with a slip bobber at PCR this week?

I brought the boat out to PCR yesterday (saturday) caught 2 small walleyes and missed a couple more. Too windy to do much boat fishing but found some cool shore spots and hid from the wind. Got the little guys on pickeral rigs. It seems like the fish are definetly growing here. We caught a few last year that were in the 3 pound range! About time!
