Well after seeing the success others have been having we decided to park the boat and go shore fishing. Wasn't overly confident I was going to catch much more than sticks. On the way out if stony stopped and picked up a little box of night crawlers from the husky. We went out on Saturday and scouted some spots, so we could get out early Sunday. Started to fish at 9 and fished till 3 we landed 20 goldeye each and a pile of neat looking sucker fish. Fishing the worms on home made pickerel rig, using the metal but beefed up the line and hardware. Would seem if we lifted the bait off the bottom we got goldeye, put it lower sucker fish. Tried a few spots later on but this seemed to be best. This was in my back yard growing up most of my life and never had fished it.
Great pics! Looks like you got a white sucker and shorthead redhorse there. The pic kinda looks more like a mooneye but they are very similar to goldeye. Looks like a fun day!
