Was out with a few folks this fine sunny day . Fishing was pretty good once the Afternoon rolled around . Slip bobber or dead sticking was the ticket today , the odd one on spoon or spinners , other wise they wanted bait and not just a 3 inch minnow they wanted a 6 inch smelt . And they hit it like a tank on steroids . The mosquitoes were horrible this evening , they were so thick and filled the vehicles had to open all the windows on the highway to clear them out . It was kind of gross actually . Might be a place to invest in one of them mosquito traps . All in all minus the nasty sunburn and stabbing the day was great .

Hell I even was ballsy enough to guarantee Geezle fish and well , minus the 20 or whatever it was 2 lb pike this beauty made it worth it . After all I thought that lake only had Hammer handles
South shore is the way to go less people and big fish .

It was good meeting you out there Lefty We'll have to get out together again some time...if you're willing to come into the city I know a great spot on the NSR where you could get into a pile of goldeye on that fly rod of yours

Likewise! was a good time.

I have never ever caught a goldeye....so if you are willing to point me in the right direction I would be grateful!

That's a beauty BBJ. I was figuring it might be in the 15-16 pound class but I have been know to overestimate big Pike before. It had to have been a great fight. Well done!!
