Thumbs up High Mountain Cutthroat trout world class trip ))))))very pic heavy((((((

Hey everybody, what's up??? how has everybody been... Anyways this weekend XphOid and myself decided to head out and see if we could find some Cutthroat trout way up in the mountains, left the big city Saterday mourning at around 10am hit up Macdonalds, 5 egg macsausage meals then G2G, first things first a truck almost crashed into us well we were siting in macdonalds coming down a wrong way then crashing almost hitting the Leduc macdonalds and thought oh no we are doomed this weekend.... after we were finished eating our Gourmet meal we took off for the rocky mountain's, cannot remember exactly but i think we arrived 4-5 hours later.

well we arrived at our destination, set up our fly fishing and took off, the water was high-normal and there were still huge ice shelves around and what a sight to see in July, i forgot the hair putty so i was kinda not normal but it was all good as we got into 16 Cutthroat this weekend that were over 16-22 inches long and we got into 35 fish this weekend in total including some rocky mountain whitefish, it was interesting crossing over the river up to our neck and not getting washed down stream and that was a bonus,
thanks god for high mountain cold water as for it was 30 degrees up there and the water was beyond freezing which made it easy to grab a drink or cool off when needed.

the flies

the rest

a flower pic

another rest

a river on the way, tooks some pics

I gotta ask Shawn, with all the cutties that were rising, Why were you nymphying and not using a dry fly? Much more exciting, and rewarding. If you would have explored more on sunday you would have found some pretty awsome dry fly action.

On a side note the water was beautifull, not cold at all, wet wadeing was the only way to go!!

Looks awesome! Nice Cutts, I can't wait to get out.

I only have 1 criticism....

Primetimes? Really?

Try Blackstone Cherry... It's all I smoke, and it puts primetimes to shame.
