I have a bennington 22ssx love it for fishing not sure about a electric trolling motor my 4 stroke works for trolling. The problem I see is that a pontoon boat is a giant sail so while it may work in clam to no wind it may work you will have trouble in any wind since there is no hull.

Might be able to move it around a bit on a day where there is absolutely no wind.

Personally, I think it would be more for a gas engine of 6-9.9hp to get the job done.

I have a 20 ft fishing model, and have a 70 lb trolling motor on the front. Works well even in a fairly good chop. I wouldn't recommend putting a motor on the back though, (unless you are going to backtroll) as boat control with an electric on the back is very difficult on a boat that size, especially with a cross wind.
I have the ped seats, live well, sonar and rod holders all around the boat.

I have a 2007 Crestliner. The 2285 Angler edition with 115hp. It has 2 fishing chairs out the back and comes with a live well and fish finder.. We put a Minnkota 101 lb trolling motor with the 6' leg mounted in on the front. Added the quick release plate and on board charging set up. Works awesome. I've never noticed it being a problem with a choppy lake. It is a great fishing boat. Couple of couches to take a nap on if the fish aren't biting haha and tons of room. It seats 12 and we've had no problem with 5 or 6 and a couple dogs.

Shoot me a PM if you are looking to buy one. Ours is for sale.
