Default Nipisi Lake, Anyone????

Been to Utikima, been to Slave. I note that the limit on Nipisi is rather generous, but having hunted in 542 this year, it seems access is the real issue. Is Nipisi a sleeper?

Has anyone on the Board made it into Nipisi, can you do it other than with a quad or sled, and is it worth the effort?

Was there twice last year, with not alot of sucess. First trip in we caught 2 jacks one was 3 pounds other was close to 10. Second trip we caught 1 jack that was probly 5 pounds.

You can get about 8 km from the lake with a truck then you need to quad or sled the rest of the way.

Theres some large pike in there but there weren't biting either time we went in there.

Thats Mitsue lake on the north side of the highway.

Lots of jacks and a few perch, no one eats the fish from the lake because there is 5 mills that surround the lake and PennWest has a battery right on the edge of the lake.
