Default making a spring

I have a A.H.Fox ae grade 12 ga. sxs with a broken sear spring, shotgun is a real nice shooter and dear to my heart. would hate to part with it or sideline it for good. Trouble is it was made in 1911 and replacement parts are hard to come by. the company was swollowed up in 1927. What suggestions would you fellows have about making a new sear spring or who might know someone who have parts shoved in the back of their cubbyhole/basement corner?
