Will be out at peers (by edson) this weekend playing some baseball but was looking to do some fishing also. Any suggestions on places to go. Will be taking the fly rod and also spinning gear. Species of fish doesn't matter. Thanks for any help.

A couple of places comes to mind.

Millers Lake which is about 20 kms West of Edson just of the highway. Some nice bows (stocked) in that lake. It can be fished from shore on the side of the boat launch (North side).

McLeod river South of Edson on highway 47 where the Embarass river joins it. I can't recall the exact distance on 47 but it is about 5 kms. There are some decent holes in that area. This time of year it should hold some rocky whites, maybe some grayling and the odd bull trout. I have caught all 3 in that location.

Good luck and good fishing!

The McLeod is a feet from where you are playing ball. You can try for a few whites ..maybe the odd graying..If you have some time go west of edson and head south towrds Robb..lots of creeks to try including the Embarras
