Default Nakamun Sunday

Went to Nakamun on Sunday with my dad and both of my brothers, can't remember the last time that happened (many many many years).

Got absolutely SKUNKED though. Didn't get one single bite all day. Came home, looked here, realized they were all right near the ice. Doh!

That'll teach me right good. Gotta remember to check this site first!

All in all though, beautiful day, got out with the family, had quite a few hours of non-eventfulness to spur some good conversation. For me, that's 80% of fishing anyway.

Maybe look down your hole sometime. You would have seen them a foot or two down with no tent.

Saw a ton of perch on the fish cam at Nakamun. all were within 6" of the bottom of the lake. Could not get one to bite. Tried maggots, cheese, shrimp, worms and everything else we could think of. We even had perch swim by and brush against our bait with their tails. they had zero interest. Saw about 10 tiny pike on the cam also, couldn't get 'em to bite either.

We didn't see any near the ice at all ?

I'll second that sentiment. They would not likely be there if they were suffocating. Hope they come through OK.
